1: CERTIFICATE IN CLINICAL MEDICINE
AIMS OF THE PROGRAMME
This programme is aimed to produce Technicians in Clinical Medicine who will work flexibly and effectively at different work places specifically at primary health facility
The specific objectives, among other things, include to:
- Train clinicians who will be able to provide preventive and rehabilitative services;
- Facilitate trainee to acquire competence in diagnostic and curative services;
- Prepare a technician who will carry out administrative services at primary health facility;
- Provide a professional career development with the stronger base in clinical medicine;
- Create awareness toward profession, legal and socio-economic influences in the delivery of health care services.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for the Certificate in Clinical Medicine (Clinical Assistant) must have completed Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with minimum of ‘D’ pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology English and Mathematics.
DURATION OF STUDY
Duration of this programme is two (2) years with two (2) semester each
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
The programme has total of 25 modules spread in four (4) semester.
START DATES
The programme starts in November each year
APPLICATION
Currently all application is through NACTE. Applications will be open from April to August every year
FEE
Fees are set annually by the ministry of health. Fees for each semester of the programme must be paid at the beginning of each semester. This year fee for year is Tsh 1,055,400.00 per year
2. CERTIFICATE IN CLINICAL MEDICINE
AIMS OF THE PROGRAMME
The programme aims at producing a person who will provide community based health, social welfare and supportive health facility services to individuals, families, and communities at community level and or health facility based on their needs.
The specific objectives, among other things, include to:
To prepare a person who is able to:
- Apply basic knowledge and skills of community based health interventions to provide supportive health services;
- Utilize basic information and communication technology to manage health and social welfare services information;
- Utilize fundamental social work intervention approaches to manage clients with social problems and needs;
- Apply principles of infection prevention and control to set a health facility environment tidy, clean and safe;
- Apply ethical and legal principles to provide supportive and customer care services; and
- Promote personal and community development initiatives to improve social welfare of the community.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including "D" pass in Biology
DURATION OF STUDY
Duration of this programme is one (1) years with two (2) semester.
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
The programme has total of 14 module spread in four (4) semester.
START DATES
The programme starts in November each year
APPLICATION

Fees are set annually by the ministry of health. Fees for each semester of the programme must be paid at the beginning of each semester. This year fee for year is Tsh1,100,400.00 per year
3. DIPLOMA IN CLINICAL MEDICINE (UPGRADING)
AIMS OF THE PROGRAMME
The main objectives of developing this curriculum are to produce competent technicians in clinical medicine who will work effectively at different work places.
The specific objectives, among other things, include to:
- Train clinician who will be able to provide preventive and rehabilitative services
- Facilitate trainee to acquire competence in diagnostic and curative services
- Prepare a technician who will carry out administrative services at primary health facility.
- Provide a professional career development with the stronger base in clinical medicine.
- Create awareness toward profession, legal and socioeconomic influences in the delivery of health care services.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for the Diploma in Clinical Medicine (Clinical Assistant) must be a holder of Technician Certificate (NTA level 5) in Clinical Medicine with "D" pass in Biology, Chemistry or Physics (CSEE) for the graduates starting from 2010; OR Graduates before NTAs system should have certificate in Clinical Medicine and at least D Pass in any of science subject; AND Work experience of two (2) years and above.

Duration of this programme is one (1) years with two (2) semester each.

The programme has total of 10 module spread in four (4) semester

4. DIPLOMA IN CLINICAL MEDICINE
